Goals give you a deadline. I want this to be happening by this time.
(I want to have more points on the scoreboard than the other team by the end of the soccer game)
Big Goals are great, but mini-goals set to get to the big goals are the way to go.
(Big Goal - Crush opponent; Mini Goal - Score a point)
So this week we need to set a goal for ourselves.
What is it you want it to be?
- Meet 5 new blogging friends and swap buttons?
- Link up to 5 linky parties and visit 5 other people in each party and leave a comment?
- Set up your blogging partner network and get your ad up?
- Find a new trustworthy blog directory every day and sign up your blog with a good description and tags.
These are just a few of the many goals you could make for yourself this week. Just at least make one. Now, if you're like me, you don't actually like to share your goals for fear of failure. What if you don't meet your goal for this week, and you already told everybody about it? You feel a little embarrassed, like a failure almost. That's not true! What's the purpose of a goal? To get you started and motivated. So if you've done that, then you've already had more success that most others do when it comes to goals. Many don't ever go farther than thinking about the idea of the goal. And if your are able to reach your goal by the end of the week, alright!
Let's all do a victory dance!
Mine will probably look like this:
If you would like to share your goals, that would be great. It makes you feel more accountable for reaching your goal and may also inspire others if they are having trouble setting a goal for themselves. My goals often spand over several weeks and usually seem to be woven together. Right now my goal is to share my Blogging Express Report with you my blogging buddies. Hoping they will find it useful in some way for them. Now, you make your goal. What is it? We'd love to hear!
Now, let's get kickin', we've got a week of growing ahead of us!

I'm full of goals - have you seen my Before 30 list? Specifically for this week, I need to finish the edits on my novel, and apply for a US tax number. Now, remind me why I'm blogging when I'm supposed to be writing... ;)
Blogging is just more fun!
Great blog, Sarah. Glad I finally got the time to check it out. I did a 'new year's resolution' post last week about my goals for the year. http://tinyurl.com/ycctwru
. I was sick for the 1st part of the year so I got off to a late start, but I'm on track and ready to go now:)
I'm signing up for your newsletter and can't wait to peruse your report. Now, where do I find my bloggy buddy??
Great post! I found my blogging buddies by searching through blogs till I found some I liked. Then I e-mailed them an invite, we all put up links to our buddy's blogs, and tada, we're networked!
I hope the report will be useful to you! Thanks for signing up!
Oh, I love your victory dance! What a great, helpful post, thanks!
If you need more help finding blogging buddies, check back tomorrow. I will be posting ways I'm going to try and help my readers find bloggy partners and ad spots.
Thanks Sarah! Oh, and I would totally do the Snoopy dance too:D
