A Letter To Growing Blogs

Dear Growing Bloggers,

I love your posts.  Whether its a darling repurposed item, something yummy to whip up for dinner, an inspirational thought, a rockin' good deal, or just about your family, I think you are totally awsome.  Its amazing to see such a diverse world of blogging subjects.

I think comments are a wonderful way to interact with other bloggers.  I am going to try to make it a goal that anytime I read a post, I will leave a comment for the author.  Whether its to let them know I appreciated the time they took to write it, if I have something to input, or anything else.  I think this will not only help me support other bloggers, but grow and strengthen blogging relationships.

Good blogging relationships will be very useful to you in your blogging "career".  When they are built on friendship, other bloggers have no problems referring their readers to you, promoting your activities, and you know you can count on someone to be involved with your new ideas.

You can start building your blogosphere relationships today if you like.  Whenever you visit a blog or read a post, leave a comment to let the other blogger you noticed what they were up to today.  Maybe give them some encouragement, or just introduce yourself.  Give it a try and I bet you will find it was worth your time :-)

I really love reading your positive posts.  They always make the world seem a little brighter.
Love Your Bloggy Friend

Happy Earth Day!

This year I've:

Switched to reusable shopping bags.

Purchased a bike and actually use it.

Recycle lots more.

Happy I'm helping the earth more than I was before!

Happy Earth Day!
I always leave a comment for my blogger friends only because if they took time out to post something, it would be nice to let them know someone read it!!!
Have a great day!

i am so new to this and trying to comment as much as i can and return the favor when someone comments on my blog. your earth day items are the exact things we did this year too!

I agree. Comments are the best. I always try to leave comments, but sometimes I don't. I'll try to be better about that.

One thing I would add: respond to comments sometimes. It is impossible to respond to all comments, but show that you appreciate the comments by responding. I am much more likely to comment if I see you in active dialogue with your readers!

I love to leave comments, I wish more people did. I check and see that 50 people visited my blog that day but only 3 left comments. no fair! show me some love! lol

If I take the time to read a blog, then I take the time to leave a comment. Even if it is just a small comment.

I'm glad to hear you all agree! I know that doing so has helped me so much.

Sweet post and I agree completely! I appreciate the time you took in writing this. I think you do have to make an effort to meet other bloggers via commenting and it does let them know you read the post and usually I think if someone takes a moment to comment they probably enjoyed what they read or saw.

Have a great weekend~smiles

I live for comments and I always respond to a comment by visiting the commenters blog and looking around and commenting. However, I don't always comment when I read a post. I commit to doing it from now on! Thanks Sarah.

It is just common courtesy isn't it? You don't ignore somene if they say hi to you in the hallway or on the street.

If you choose to read a blog then you should try to say hi!!

Sounds like you've made steps in the right direction. I really need to get our family on the recycling bandwagon. I've thought about it a lot this week, I just need to set up a good area to recycle.

Happy Belated Earth Day!

Love your blog and I'm using alot of your tips. I agree with leaving comments, there should be no "free grazing." Give the author their kudos, if only one line. Remember the Dale Carnegie precept that you have to make more contacts to make more opportunities. He would have loved the blog world.
